Special Programs Unique to Green Oaks
The following programs are unique to Green Oaks Hospital -- they are in addition to the regular hospital services and enhance the stay of patients with options for special needs. All programs include a family component.
Chemical Dependency Services
Chemical Dependency is a primary, progressive, chronic and potentially
fatal disease that produces negative consequences on those who use and the family members who love them. At Green Oaks Hospital, Chemical Dependency is treated as the primary disease process. The goal of treatment is to assist the client in gaining necessary skills for a lifestyle free of alcohol and drugs.
Green Oaks Hospital offers an array of services to accommodate the individual needs of the clients we serve. The focus of the Intensive Outpatient Programs is to provide Chemical Dependency treatment to clients in a less restrictive environment. We offer Chemical Dependency treatment at two locations with morning and evening programs. Referrals and or admissions please call; appropriate coordinator for the program by email and or phone.

WorkReturns Program
The WorkReturns Program is a unique treatment program pioneered by Green Oaks Hospital. The principle aim of this program is to help clients successfully make the transition back to work following an absence due to physical or psychological disability. After an initial assessment of factors interfering with employment, WorkReturns staff teach the individual how to manage their condition and return to the workplace as soon as it is clinically appropriate to do so. Process groups addressing work issues, skills groups on topics relevant to the workplace, and an individualized plan to return to work aid in the smooth transition back to the job. The WorkReturns Program also facilitates communication between the client and employer through telephone or worksite consultation. And Aftercare Group is offered to those who have discharged from the program. This support group acts as a sounding board and provides feedback to those who are testing their newly acquired skills in the workplace. Who benefits from the program? Everyone! The employee experiences an increased sense of confidence and self worth, and improved mood. Employers experience a healthier and more productive employee, decreased costs for disability, and workers compensation claims, increased employee morale and retention. For more information on the WorkReturns Program, contact Mike Ashworth,Ph.D at 972/985-1599.
